Application Specialist Software - [permanent]
Salary : Negotiable - Location : Hertfordshire

Job Role
The Product Management department is responsible for all aspects of delivering and supporting Client's technology deliverables to a wide range of semiconductor and software partners. A key goal is to ensure that Client's technology gets to market as fast as possible by providing the necessary support and training to our licensees. This position is in support of deploying our cutting edge graphics IP cores into a wide range of customer platforms and OEMs. The role involves working with leading semiconductor and software companies on cutting edge products. An excellent opportunity to gain knowledge and training in both specific technology areas and the overall process and lifecycle of leading edge system-on-chip devices and how the software is designed, put into production and maintained.

Primary responsibilities
Working as a part of a team, as a graduate engineer you will have some or all of the following responsibilities:
  • Solving customer issues related to the use of product deliverables from a technical perspective
  • Training customers in the use of product deliverables
  • Assisting in the development and delivery of product training programs, at the customer’s site worldwide
  • Supporting technical product delivery on customers sites as required

Required Skills
The successful candidate will have some of the following skills:
  • Good grounding in software design techniques with relevant project work as part of a degree course
  • Understanding of C-Coding design and debug techniques
  • Ability to communicate technical subjects in both written and oral form
  • Work experience in a commercial environment, in a software design or support role

The successful candidate will have:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Work well in both team and individual environments
  • Ability to prioritise and organise tasks with a calm and focussed approach
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Can do, positive attitude and ability to work proactively and independently

Qualifications
Minimum of a second class honours degree in an Electrical or Electronics related course
